Dear fellow colleagues and friends,
It is with great pleasure for me to be able to serve you as the President of the Saudi Dental Society for the term of 2010-2013. I would like to thank everyone for electing me and also for your kind support and encouragement and especially the past president Prof. Yousif Talic and the past SDS board members as they had contributed enormously to the development of the society during their term of office over the last few years. We are in the era and power of “networking and web” and we are now in a process of developing and improving our website whereby it would be used as an important portal of interaction and communication between the society and the members of the society. I would encourage everyone to log onto the website for information of events and notices and in fact to contribute to the development of this important facet of our society. The website will be your voice to us and we will be putting up issues for discussion and online surveys to obtain consensus from you. Please do support the site. We are also putting our plans to empower and value the membership of the society to all members and to invite non members to become part of this. Believe me SDS will value more than its cost as we will ensure that the SDS membership remains a strong asset that will provide our members with a growing list of quality services. I want you all to know that the newly elected Board Members are committed to meeting your expectations thru the emphasis and empowerment of SDS vision and mission. I am looking forward to this coming year as your President. I expect that there will be challenges ahead, but I and the SDS Board will work hard to accomplish our mission.
